Southwestern Manitoba Regional Library consists of 3 libraries. They are: Pierson, Melita & Napinka branches. Mary-Anne Minshull is the head librarian. Please check out our website and Facebook pages for hours of service.
Adult patrons interested in starting something new? Please join Pierson’s Happy Bookers Book Club, or Melita Book Club (or join both if you’re feeling quite ambitious!). Both clubs meet once a month.

Waskada Public Library is a branch of the Bren-Del Win Centennial Library
and is free for use for the residents of the Municipality of Brenda-Waskada.

FIRE DEPARTMENTS
Fire Fighting services are provided to the Town of Melita, RM of Two Borders, and RM of Brenda-Waskada, with a 19-volunteer member fire department. The fire department is on call 24-hours a day, all-year round. The department is looking for new active members to join their team! Training is available for all department volunteers/new members.

Prairie Mountain Health (PMH) was established in June 2012 when the Manitoba government merged the Assiniboine, Brandon, and Parkland regional health authorities. PMH is one of five regional health authorities in Manitoba.
The region spans a large area of about 67,000 square kilometers. It stretches east to west from communities like Benito, Elkhorn, and Russell near the Saskatchewan border to Waterhen Lake, Lake Manitoba, and Treherne. North to south, it extends from the 53rd parallel near Mafeking and Dawson Bay to the U.S. border near Melita, Deloraine, Boissevain, Killarney, and Cartwright.

This is a non-profit organization with a mandate on enabling seniors and disabled persons to continue living independently within their communities as long as possible. They do so through the use of volunteers, service providers and coordinators.
