Eligibility

• The business must operate within Crocus Country.
• The business must have been operating for at least three years by the nomination deadline.
• The business must not have won Business of the Year within the past three years.

What the judges will consider

• Strong and reliable business practices
• Growth, innovation or the ability to adapt
• Leadership and a positive workplace
• A reputation for treating people fairly and honestly
• Contributions to the local economy, community or quality of life

This award celebrates a woman who has made a difference through leadership in business. Throughout her career, she may have been an entrepreneur, business owner, manager, supervisor or other employee who demonstrated leadership, taking on one or several roles that have helped businesses or organizations grow, adapt and succeed. Through her example, encouragement and involvement, she supports others and helps strengthen Crocus Country. 

Eligibility

• The nominee must identify as a woman.
• She must currently hold or have held a leadership role in a business or workplace in Crocus Country. This may include an entrepreneur, business owner, manager, supervisor or other employee who demonstrates leadership.                    • Previous recipients of this award must wait three years before being eligible again.

What the judges will consider

• Strong and confident leadership
• Her accomplishments and contributions throughout her career
• Her contribution to the success or growth of businesses or workplaces
• Resilience, initiative and the ability to adapt
• Support, encouragement or mentorship provided to others
• Community involvement and contributions to Crocus Country
• The example she sets for other women and young people

• Employees at any level or stage of their career are eligible, including supervisors and managers.
• Business owners and self-employed individuals are not eligible for this award.
• The nominee may be nominated by an employer, co-worker, customer or community member.

• Teamwork and the way they contribute to the workplace

• Previous recipients of the Lifetime Achievement Award are not eligible to receive this award again.

• Long-term contributions to business, community life or regional development
• Leadership, vision and dedication throughout the nominee’s career or community involvement
• Support, encouragement or mentorship provided to others
• A genuine commitment to Crocus Country and its people

• A strong reputation for dependable service and consistency
• The ability to adapt and evolve over the years
• A lasting commitment to customers and employees
• Involvement in and support for the community
• The overall legacy the business has created within the region
