Eligibility
• The business must operate within Crocus Country.
• The business must have been operating for at least three years by the nomination deadline.
• The business must not have won Business of the Year within the past three years.
What the judges will consider
• Strong and reliable business practices
• Growth, innovation or the ability to adapt
• Leadership and a positive workplace
• A reputation for treating people fairly and honestly
• Contributions to the local economy, community or quality of life
Award description
This award celebrates a woman who has made a difference through leadership in business. Throughout her career, she may have been an entrepreneur, business owner, manager, supervisor or other employee who demonstrated leadership, taking on one or several roles that have helped businesses or organizations grow, adapt and succeed. Through her example, encouragement and involvement, she supports others and helps strengthen Crocus Country.

• The nominee must identify as a woman.
• She must currently hold or have held a leadership role in a business or workplace in Crocus Country. This may include an entrepreneur, business owner, manager, supervisor or other employee who demonstrates leadership. • Previous recipients of this award must wait three years before being eligible again.

• Strong and confident leadership
• Her accomplishments and contributions throughout her career
• Her contribution to the success or growth of businesses or workplaces
• Resilience, initiative and the ability to adapt
• Support, encouragement or mentorship provided to others

• The business must have been operating for at least one year by the nomination deadline.
• This award recognizes the customer service provided by the entire business.

• The nominee must live, work, volunteer or otherwise contribute within Crocus Country.
• The nominee’s contributions must primarily benefit people, organizations or communities within Crocus Country.
• Contributions may be made independently or through involvement with a local group, organization or community initiative.

• The positive difference the nominee has made in the community
• An ongoing commitment to helping others
• Leadership and the ability to inspire others to get involved
• Cooperation with local groups, organizations or community initiatives

They may be the person others rely on, someone who willingly steps in to help or an employee who consistently goes above and beyond what is expected. Through their hard work, dependability and positive approach, they help their workplace succeed and make it a better place for employees, customers and the community.
Eligibility
• The nominee must be an individual employed by a business or organization located in or serving Crocus Country.
• The nominee must have worked for their current employer for at least one year by the nomination deadline.
• Employees at any level or stage of their career are eligible, including supervisors and managers.
• Business owners and self-employed individuals are not eligible for this award.
• The nominee may be nominated by an employer, co-worker, customer or community member.
What the judges will consider
• Dedication, dependability and a strong work ethic
• The quality of the nominee’s work
• A positive attitude and willingness to help others
• Teamwork and the way they contribute to the workplace
• Initiative, problem-solving and a willingness to go above and beyond

• The group must have been operating for at least one year by the nomination deadline.
• The group must be volunteer-driven or dedicated to community service.
• The nominee cannot be a business or organization that primarily generates private profit.

• The positive difference the group has made in Crocus Country
• The programs, services, events or volunteer efforts it provides
• The number and range of people who benefit from its work
• Its ongoing commitment to the community
• Cooperation with other groups, organizations and volunteers
• The care and dedication its members bring to their work

Their accomplishments and the example they have set have created a legacy worth recognizing.

• The nominee must be an individual.
• The nominee must live in Crocus Country or have made a significant and lasting contribution to the region.
• The nominee must have at least 20 years of involvement in business, leadership, community development or community service.
• The nominee may be retired or still active.
• Previous recipients of the Lifetime Achievement Award are not eligible to receive this award again.
What the judges will consider
• Long-term contributions to business, community life or regional development
• Leadership, vision and dedication throughout the nominee’s career or community involvement
• Support, encouragement or mentorship provided to others
• A genuine commitment to Crocus Country and its people
• Accomplishments that have made a meaningful and lasting difference
• The legacy the nominee has created for future generations
Award description
This award celebrates a newer Crocus Country business that is already making its mark. It may be a business that has brought something new to the region, built a loyal customer base, grown quickly or found creative ways to meet local needs. The Rising Star Award recognizes early success, community spirit and the potential to continue growing in the years ahead.
Eligibility
• The business must have been operating for at least one year but no more than five years by the nomination deadline.
• The business must be located in the Crocus Country region.
• The business cannot be a franchise of a national chain.
What the judges will consider
• Early growth, progress or business momentum
• A unique product, service or approach
• Customer service and community response
• Involvement in the community or collaboration with others
• Potential for continued growth and long-term success
Award description
This award celebrates a Crocus Country business that has earned a special place in the hearts of the people it serves. It may be known for its welcoming atmosphere, friendly service, community involvement or simply the way it makes people feel. Five finalists will be selected from the written nominations, and guests at the Crocus Awards Gala will choose the winner.

• The nominee must be a business located in the Crocus Country region.
• The business must be currently operating and in good standing.
• The business must agree to have its name included in the People’s Choice vote at the gala.

• The business may be from any industry.
• The business must still be active and in good standing.
• Previous recipients of the Legacy Business Award must wait three years before being eligible for this award again

• Involvement in and support for the community
• The overall legacy the business has created within the region
